Can I add or remove items while my order is in progress?

If you forgot something, you can add a max of 20 more items to your order up to 2.5 hours before your order is scheduled for delivery or pickup.

Please note that item removals are currently unavailable for all in-progress orders, including those with 24+ hours of lead time. We apologize for the inconvenience but we're working hard to bring them back as soon as possible and plan to have them reinstated by Summer 2026. In the meantime, if your order time slot is 24+ hours out, you're welcome to cancel it and replace with the order with your desired items.

To add items from your order on your computer:

  1. While logged in to heb.com, hover over your name in the upper right corner of the screen.
  2. Select "Orders."
  3. Select "View details" on the order you'd like to change.
  4. From there, to add items, select “Add items” and follow the prompts. If you don’t see the "Add items" button, we are unable to fulfill add-on items for this order.

To add items from your order on your mobile browser:

  1. While logged in to heb.com, tap the menu icon in the upper left corner of the screen.
  2. Tap "Account."
  3. Tap "Orders."
  4. Select “View details” on the order you'd like to change.
  5. From there, to add items, select “Add items” and follow the prompts. If you don’t see the "Add items" button, we are unable to fulfill add-on items for this order.

To add items from your order on the My H-E-B app:

  1. While logged in, tap the “Orders” tab on the bottom navigation.
  2. Tap “In progress” and select an order.
  3. From there, to add items, select “Add items” and follow the prompts. If you don’t see the "Add items" button, we are unable to fulfill add-on items for this order.
