How can I adjust the notifications I receive from H-E-B?

You can set your preferences for notifications and other communications from H-E-B in the app or on the website.

Using the My H-E-B app:

  1. While logged in, tap the profile icon on the upper left corner of the screen.
  2. Tap “Settings.”
  3. There, you can see the types of notifications you can receive from H-E-B about order updates or promotions. You can use the checkbox to turn notifications on or off.

Note, make sure to update your app to the latest version.

On HEB.com:

  1. While logged in, hover over your name in the upper right corner of the screen.
  2. Select “Account."
  3. Select “Settings” from the left-side menu. There, you can see the types of notifications you can receive from H-E-B about order updates or promotions. You can use the toggle to turn notifications on or off.

A little about H-E-B text message short codes (Texting phone numbers):

H-E-B sends text messages from specific short codes and phone numbers to ensure secure and reliable communication. Recognizing these codes helps you keep your account safe:

Account verification

  • Purpose: Receive one-time passwords to verify your identity during login or account updates.
  • Sender: H-E-B Accounts: (256) 432-7866
  • H-E-B Accounts will only send messages from this number when we require a verification code to log in, or when you change your H-E-B account phone number.

Order updates

  • Purpose: Get updates about your curbside or delivery orders. Reply to this number with your spot number when you arrive for curbside pickup.
  • Sender: H-E-B: 99147
  • Reply STOP to stop receiving order updates via text. You will still receive order updates via email by default, and through push notifications if you have them turned on.

Digital coupons

  • Purpose: Receive text notifications about digital-only coupons and savings.
  • Sender: H-E-B Savings: 69432
  • Reply STOP to stop receiving digital coupon text messages.

Receiving messages from third-party shopper services If you place delivery orders through the My H-E-B app, third-party services like Favor, and DoorDash may fulfill the order. You might receive text messages directly from those services regarding your delivery. The number of messages and opt-out options will depend on their policies.
