We continually evaluate where to build new stores and where to expand. We sometimes purchase land for development far in advance of when we plan to open a store. Your suggestions will be forwarded to our Real Estate Department for their review and consideration.

Certain types of organizations may be exempt from Texas sales tax, including religious, charitable, educational, sports, and non-profit organizations. 

To enroll your account for tax exempt status, follow these steps:

1. Log in to your H‑E‑B account from a desktop device *(This feature is not currently available in the mobile app.)*
2. Go to "Account", then select "Profile"
3. Select “Enroll” next to Tax Exemptions
4. Complete the requested information and click “Continue”
5. Review the notice and print the form
6. Verify your information and sign the form
7. Submit the signed form to H‑E‑B using one of the following methods:
- FAX 210-938-4797
- Email to Imaging.Services@heb.com
- In an H-E-B store: Take it to the Customer Service / One Stop

Processing and renewal:
- Processing may take 3–5 business days after your signed form is received.
- You will be notified of your status via email once approved.
- Tax-exempt status remains active for one (1) year.
- Organizations must renew annually to maintain their exemption.
