Smoky Baked Cordon Bleu

Ingredients

Recipe makes 4 Servings

4 all natural boneless skinless chicken breast, butterflied
8 Oz post oak smoked ham, sliced 1/4 inch thick
4 Oz smoked Havarti cheese, sliced 1/4 inch thick
1 gala apple, cut into 12 slices
2 Tbsp H-E-B Select Ingredients Basting Oil
3 Tbsp maple syrup
1 .2000 Tbsp Dijon mustard

Instructions

Preheat oven to 400ºF and line a sheet pan with foil.

Lay butterflied chicken open faced onto the lined sheet pan. Season generously with salt and pepper, then layer in ham, cheese and apple slices on one side of each chicken breast. Fold the other side of the chicken over like a book.

Drizzle with basting oil and bake 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, combine maple syrup and mustard in a small bowl. Set aside.

Remove chicken after 20 minutes and drizzle maple mustard mixture over each piece of chicken. Bake 15 to 20 minutes longer.

Remove chicken from oven and let stand 10 minutes before serving.
