Description
Spelled very similarly to "cilantro," culantro is an intense, robust-tasting herb that gets milder when cooked. Commonly used in Latin American and Caribbean cuisine, it has long, broad leaves with zig-zag edges. Use some as a flavor booster in marinades, sauces and stews, or roughly chop up culantro as a finishing plating touch.
