
Steaks with Red Wine Mushroom Pan Sauce

Serves 4
Ingredients
- 4 Medium steaks, (Ribeye, NY Strip, Tenderloin or Sirloin)
- 3 tbsp Salted butter
- 8 oz Baby bella mushrooms, sliced
- 1/3 cup Shallots, finely chopped
- 0.5 oz Fresh rosemary sprigs
- 10 oz Fischer & Wieser French Red Wine Pan Sauce
Instructions
- Season steaks to taste with salt and pepper or all purpose seasoning of choice. For best cooking results allow steaks to sit out at room temperature for 30 minutes before cooking.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add butter, mushrooms, shallots and rosemary to pan. Stir and cook until shallots are soft and mushrooms are golden brown.
- Turn heat down to low and add red wine pan sauce. Bring to a simmer and turn heat off. Keep sauce warm while cooking steaks.
- Heat grill or cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Place steaks on grill or in hot skillet. Cook each side 4 to 5 minutes or to an internal temperature of 145ºF for medium rare.
- Remove steaks from heat and allow to rest for 5 to 7 minutes before cutting. Serve with warm red wine mushroom sauce.
