  • 20 oz H‑E‑B Apple Cinnamon Breakfast Sliced Bread, 1 loaf
  • 4 oz salted butter, melted
  • 22 oz Lucky Leaf Fried Apples Pie Filling
  • 2 cup(s) half and half
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup(s) maple syrup
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350ºF
  2. Cut entire sliced loaf into approximately 1/2 inch squares. Place in a larger bowl and add butter and apple pie filling. Set aside.
  3. In a blender combine half and half, eggs, maple syrup, cinnamon, and vanilla. Blend until smooth then pour over apple and bread mixture.
  4. Mix everything well by hand until mixture has absorbed well.
  5. Pour into a 9x13 inch oven-safe baking dish and gently press to even out. Bake uncovered for 30 to 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center pulls out clean.
  6. Allow bread pudding to cool for at least 20 minutes before cutting and serving. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream if desired.
