
Pumpkin Flan

Ingredients
- 1 cup H-E-B Pure Cane Extra Fine Granulated Sugar
- 14 oz H-E-B Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 24 oz H-E-B Evaporated Milk
- 5 H-E-B Large Grade AA Eggs, beaten
- 15 oz Solid pack pumpkin
- 2 tsp McCormick Pumpkin Pie Spice
Instructions
- Heat oven to 325°F.
- Cook sugar in a small skillet over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until melted and golden in color.
- Pour caramelized sugar into a 9 x 13-inch baking dish and tilt dish so that caramelized sugar is evenly spread; set aside. Caramelized sugar will crackle as it cools.
- Combine condensed milk, evaporated milk, eggs, pumpkin, cinnamon and 1/2 cup water in a large bowl: stir well.
- Pour custard mixture into caramel-coated baking dish and place inside a larger baking dish. Fill outside baking dish halfway with water.
- Bake flan in water bath on center oven rack for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
- The flan is ready when a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Carefully remove baking dish with flan from baking dish with hot water.
- Cool flan for 20 minutes. Serve warm or chilled.
