Unsaved Pasta al Pomodoro

Ingredients

Serves 6

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 each garlic cloves, minced
  • 11 3/5 oz Agromonte Cherry Tomato Pasta Sauce
  • 16 oz spaghetti
  • 3 each basil sprigs, leaves removed
  • 1/4 cup(s) Parmesan cheese, grated

Instructions

  1. In a large high-sided skillet, heat olive oil and garlic over medium heat. Stir until garlic is fragrant and just golden. Meanwhile, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Add tomato sauce to skillet and reduce heat to low. Add pasta to boiling water and cook until al dente, about 5 to 10 minutes. Drain pasta, reserving 1 1/2 cups of pasta water.
  3. Add pasta and pasta water to tomato sauce and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until sauce has thickened and clings to pasta, about 6 to 7 minutes.
  4. Garnish with torn basil leaves and a healthy serving of grated Parmesan.
