
Pan Seared Steak with Garlic Parmesan Butter Sauce

Ingredients
- 16 oz Prime New York Strip
- 1 tsp Avocado oil non-stick spray, or as needed
- 3 Garlic Parmesan butter dollops, approximately 3 dollops, plus more as needed
- 2 tbsp Minced shallots
- 4 Fresh thyme sprigs, approximately 3 to 4 sprigs
Instructions
- Place a large cast iron skillet over medium heat and allow to get hot.
- While skillet is heating, season steak liberally with salt and pepper. Set aside at room temperature.
- Spray non-stick avocado spray on top of steak to just coat. Place steak in hot pan and cook for approximately 5 to 7 minutes or until a nice crust develops.
- Flip steak, lower heat to medium-low and cook for an additional 6 to 10 minutes or until steak is cooked to your preferred doneness. 140ºF internal temperature is recommended.
- Once steak is cooked, transfer to to a plate. Add butter, shallots and thyme sprigs to pan and stir-fry 3 to 5 minutes or until butter is bubbly and shallots are just translucent, scraping up any browned bits in pan as it cooks.
- Discard thyme sprigs and pour butter over steak. Serve immediately.
