Ingredients

  • 1 cup(s) all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 cup(s) butter, at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup(s) brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup(s) granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup(s) old fashioned rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup(s) M and M'S Holiday Milk Chocolate Candy, divided use
  • 2 oz vanilla candy coating
  • 2 each drops green food color, plus more as needed

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease six (3.5-inch) Mini Lodge Cast Iron Skillets and set aside briefly.
  2. Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. Beat butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy then beat in egg yolk and vanilla until incorporated.
  4. Stir in flour mixture until combined then stir in oats and half of the M&M’s. Divide into 6 portions and press each into prepared skillets.
  5. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until tops are set and golden around the edges. Let cool in skillet on a rack for at least 30 minutes or until completely cooled.
  6. Melt candy coating according to package directions, then mix in green food coloring. Add to a piping bag fitted with a small round tip. Pipe a 1/2-inch border around edges to resemble a wreath shape. Decorate with remaining M&M’s.
