
Kofta Style Bacon Burgers

- 1 lb prime 1 beef burger patties - cowboy bacon, 2- 8 oz. patties
- 2 tbsp cumin, plus more as needed
- 2 tsp ground coriander, plus more as needed
- 4 each wooden skewers, plus more as needed
- 1/4 cup(s) extra virgin olive oil, or as needed
Instructions
- Season burgers on both sides liberally with cumin, coriander and a pinch of salt and pepper. Preheat oven to 375ºF.
- Using 2 skewers per burger, form patty around the skewers to evenly and tightly mold burger around the skewers to create each kabob.
- Brush both Koftas with olive oil and place on a sheet pan lined with foil.
- Place in oven and roast for 20 to 30 minutes or until internal temperature of each reaches at least 165ºF.
- Remove from oven, season to taste as needed and serve.
- Chef's Note: These can also be done on a grill that has been well oiled to keep Kofta from sticking.
