Kofta Style Bacon Burgers

Unsaved Kofta Style Bacon Burgers

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Prime 1 beef burger patties - cowboy bacon, 2- 8 oz. patties
  • 2 tbsp Cumin, plus more as needed
  • 2 tsp Ground coriander, plus more as needed
  • 4 Wooden skewers, plus more as needed
  • 1/4 cup Extra virgin olive oil, or as needed

Instructions

  1. Season burgers on both sides liberally with cumin, coriander and a pinch of salt and pepper. Preheat oven to 375ºF.
  2. Using 2 skewers per burger, form patty around the skewers to evenly and tightly mold burger around the skewers to create kabobs.
  3. Brush both Koftas with olive oil and place onto a sheet pan lined with foil.
  4. Place in oven and roast for 20 to 30 minutes or until internal temperature of each reaches at least 165ºF.
  5. Remove from oven, season to taste as needed and serve.
  6. Chef's Note: These can also be done on a grill that has been well oiled to keep Kofta from sticking.
