Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp avocado oil
  • 4 each 1/3 lb burger patties, 80% Lean
  • 2 tbsp SZN Spice Company Burger Binder- Jalapeño Cheese
  • 4 each slices of H‑E‑B Carolina Reaper Pepper Monterey Jack Sliced Cheese
  • 4 each hamburger buns, toasted
  • 1/4 cup(s) Hot Ones Original Hot BBQ Sauce
  • 4 each H-E-B Burger Leaf Lettuce Leaves
  • 1/3 cup(s) crispy jalapeños lightly salted

Instructions

  1. Heat a large cast iron skillet over high heat. Add about 1 tbsp of avocado oil.
  2. Place 2 patties in the hot skillet and firmly smash with a flat metal spatula until patties are very thin. Season liberally with seasoning.
  3. Cook patties until very brown underneath, about 3 minutes. Flip patties and place cheese on top of each patty. Cook until cheese is melted, about 1 minute. Remove from pan and place on toasted bun. Repeat with remaining patties.
  4. To assemble, top each burger with bbq sauce, lettuce, and crispy jalapeños.
