Homemade Pumpkin Pie

Unsaved Homemade Pumpkin Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 Frozen prepared pie shell, thawed but still cold
  • 3/4 cup Heavy whipping cream
  • 4 Large brown eggs, 3 whole eggs plus 1 yolk
  • 1 tbsp Pure Madagascar bourbon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Light brown sugar
  • 2 tsp Pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 tsp Apple pie spice
  • 1 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Sea salt
  • 15 oz Organic pumpkin puree

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350ºF.
  2. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper and place uncooked pie shell in center of pan. Set aside.
  3. Pour heavy cream into a blender and add eggs, vanilla extract, sugar, pumpkin pie spice, apple pie spice, cinnamon, and salt. Puree until smooth.
  4. Add pumpkin puree and pulse blender until everything is smooth and creamy.
  5. Pour into pie shell just to the crust line. Discard any excess filling.
  6. Bake 45 minutes, then rotate pan and bake for another 15 to 20 minutes or until center of pie is just set and jiggles when gently shaken.
  7. Remove from oven and let pie cool on a rack for at least 4 hours to allow it to fully cool. Pie cuts and serves best after being refrigerated for at least 6 to 8 hours.
  8. Serve with fresh whipped cream if desired.
