Ingredients
- 2 tbsp Hill Country Fare Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1/2 cup Celery stalks, chopped
- 1/2 cup Sweet Texas 1015 Onion(s), chopped
- 1/2 cup Red bell pepper, chopped
- 1/2 cup Water
- 16 oz H-E-B Select Ingredients Cornbread Stuffing
- 1/4 cup Central Market Organic Flaxseed Dietary Supplement
- 14 oz Hill Country Fare Chicken Broth
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350ºF. Spray a 9 x 13 inch baking dish with non-stick spray and set aside.
- Heat a large heavy bottom skillet over medium heat 2 minutes.
- Add oil, celery, onion and bell pepper. Stir fry until onions are tender, about 5 minutes.
- Combine cooked vegetables with stuffing mix, ground flax seed, 1 can of chicken broth and 1 1/2 cups water in a large mixing bowl. Season to taste with salt and pepper and spoon into prepared baking dish.
- Loosely cover with a sheet of sprayed foil and bake on the center oven rack for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake 5 more minutes.
- You can prepare this recipe a day in advance, cover and refrigerate until ready to bake.
