Unsaved Golden Hummus

Ingredients

Serves 10

  • 1 1/2 tsp fresh turmeric root, peeled and finely grated
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 medium garlic cloves
  • 1/2 tsp fresh ginger root, peeled and grated
  • 1/3 cup(s) tahini
  • 15 oz canned chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup(s) olive oil

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients except olive oil in a food processor. Run on high speed, scraping down sides as needed, until mixture is smooth.
  2. With machine running, add olive oil in a thin stream and process until smooth and creamy. Eat immediately or cover and store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
