Unsaved Cranberry Bars

Ingredients

  • 1 Hill Country Fare Vegetable Oil No-Stick Cooking Spray
  • 16.5 oz Hill Country Fare Yellow Cake Mix
  • 1 cup Walnuts
  • 1 cup H-E-B Select Ingredients Old Fashioned Oats
  • 2 Hill Country Fare Grade A Large Eggs, large
  • 1/3 cup Hill Country Fare Canola Oil
  • 1 tsp McCormick Ground Ginger
  • 16 oz Cranberry sauce

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F.
  2. Spray a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray and set aside.
  3. Mix together cake mix, walnuts, oats, eggs, canola oil and ginger in a large bowl.
  4. Spread 1/2 of mixture onto bottom of prepared baking dish (reserve other 1/2 mixture for topping).
  5. In a separate bowl, gently stir cranberry sauce and then evenly spread on top of prepared crust.
  6. Pinch and press pieces of reserved mixture and scatter over cranberry filling.
  7. Bake 35 to 40 minutes until light brown.
  8. Let bars cool 30 minutes and then cut into 24 portions.
