Unsaved BBQ Meatball Sub Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 2 1/2 oz diced red onions
  • 24 each fully cooked meatballs
  • 1/4 cup(s) water
  • 14 oz barbecue sauce
  • 4 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 4 each bolillo rolls, split open lengthwise
  • 1 cup(s) shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add oil and red onions, and cook for 1 minute. Add meatballs and water, cover, and steam for 2 minutes.
  2. Remove lid, add barbecue sauce and stir to combine. Turn heat down to low, cover, and cook for 8 minutes or until meatballs are heated through.
  3. Spread mustard on cut sides of each bolillo. Place meatball mixture into rolls and top with shredded cheese. Serve while warm.
