
Apple Dumplings

- 3 each Granny Smith Apples, peeled, cored, and cut in quarters
- 2 tbsp Hill Country Fare Ground Cinnamon
- 1/2 cup(s) H-E-B Pure Cane Extra Fine Granulated Sugar
- 4 oz H-E-B Sweet Cream Unsalted Butter, cut into 8 pieces
- 2 each Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry Sheets
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- While oven is preheating, place apples on a small sheet pan lined with a foil boat.
- Sprinkle half of cinnamon and sugar over apples then arrange cut butter in random spots near the apples.
- Place in oven and bake for 20 minutes.
- While apples are cooking, remove puff pastry sheets from freezer and thaw for 20 minutes.
- When apples are done, set pan aside for 5 to 7 minutes to allow apples to cool.
- Remove thawed puff pastry sheets from the box and flatten out on the counter.
- Measure 1/2 inch along edge of pastry sheets and cut strips that look like a belt. Repeat this process for both sheets.
- Place 1 piece of apple on each strip and wrap pastry completely around the apple. Transfer to a parchment-lined sheet pan.
- Sprinkle remaining sugar and cinnamon over dumplings and bake for 15 minutes or until a light golden brown.
