
Apple Dumplings

Ingredients
- 3 Granny Smith Apples, peeled, cored, and cut in quarters
- 2 tbsp Hill Country Fare Ground Cinnamon
- 1/2 cup H-E-B Pure Cane Extra Fine Granulated Sugar
- 4 oz H-E-B Sweet Cream Unsalted Butter, cut into 8 pieces
- 2 Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry Sheets
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- While oven is preheating, place apples on a small sheet pan lined with a foil boat.
- Sprinkle half of the cinnamon and sugar over the apples and then place the cut butter in random spots by the apples.
- Place in the oven and cook for 20 minutes.
- While the apples are cooking, remove puff pastry sheets from the freezer and allow to thaw for 20 minutes.
- Allow apples to cool 5 to 7 minutes before wrapping in puff pastry sheets.
- Remove sheets from box and flatten on counter.
- Measure 1/2- inch and cut all the way across making sheets look like a belt. Repeat this process for both sheets.
- Once all the puff pastry sheets have been cut, place 1 apple per strip and wrap apple completely with strip of puff pastry. Repeat this process until all the apples are wrapped.
- Sprinkle the other half of sugar and cinnamon and bake for 15 minutes or until tops are slightly golden brown.
