  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 lb Mi Tienda Carne al Pastor
  • 2 Large fresh jalapeño peppers, stems removed, seeded and thinly sliced
  • 1 cup Fresh pineapple, roughly chopped
  • 6 Hamburger buns, plus more as needed

Instructions

  1. In a large Dutch oven or pot add oil, allow to get hot, add al pastor and stir-fry for 10 to 15 minutes or until pork just starts to nicely brown.
  2. Add jalapeños, and pineapple continue to cook until everything is nicely incorporated and fully cooked. Approximately 10 to 12 minutes.
  3. Serve al pastor mixture on hamburger buns, along with your favorite condiments. Repeat process with each additional sloppy joe.
  4. Chef's Note: If you prefer, you can leave pineapple slices whole and place them on the pastor mixture when assembling the sloppy joe for prettier presentation.
