It is in 1035 that we find the first writings about this cheese from Normandy, made in the heart (coeur in French) of the Pays de Bray. During the Middle Ages, young ladies would offer this romantic cheese to their sweetheart. Soft by shape and look, President Coeur de Brie is a cheese with charisma. Its texture and taste is comparable to Camembert. The dry rind is velvety white, its gold paste is firm and crumbly but supple.
