Our founder, Nancy Silverton, perfected the recipe and baked the first loaves in our original space on La Brea Avenue in 1989. And a quarter of a century later, we are just as committed to the artisan traditions, simple ingredients and uncompromising standards that we started out with. Estd. 1989. With slightly sweet interior and thin, golden brown crust, our soft Torta Rolls are perfect for a traditional Mexican torta or your favorite barbeque sandwich.

    Ingredients

    Unbleached Enriched Flour (Wheat Flour, Malted Barley Flour, Niacin, Reduced Iron, Thiamine Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Folic Acid), Water, Sour Culture, Contains 2% or Less of: Sugar, Canola Oil, Salt, Malted Barley Extract, Semolina, Cultured Wheat Starch, Yeast, Enzymes.

    Allergens and safety warnings

    Contains: wheat. Made in a facility that also processes: milk, soy and tree nuts (pecans and walnuts).
  • Baking Instructions: Preheat conventional oven to 375 degrees F. Remove all outside packaging. Place bread directly on center oven rack. If bread is room temperature, bake 5-7 minutes, or until crust is golden brown. If bread is frozen, bake 10-12 minutes, or until crust is golden brown. Allow bread to cool before enjoying. Baker's Notes: For a crispier crust, bake at max time. All ovens vary; adjust baking times as necessary. Store any unbaked bread in a sealed plastic bag ad freeze in a sealed plastic bag and freeze for later use.
