Hill Country Fare Butter Recipe Moist Cake Mix

Enjoy the taste of Hill Country Fare Creamy Frosting with our Moist Cake Mixes, just add eggs, butter & frosting.

Preparation Instructions

You Will Need: 1/2 cup water; 3 eggs; 7 tablespoons soft butter. 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F for metal and glass pans. (325 degrees F for dark or coated pans). Allow 7 tablespoons of butter to soften to room temperature (approx. 15 minutes.) Grease pans generously and dust with flour; shake out excess. 2. Combine: Cake mix, 1/2 cup water, 3 eggs and 7 tablespoons soft butter in large mixing bowl, at low speed until moistened. Beat 4 minutes at medium speed or 450 strokes by hand. Pour batter in pans. 3. Bake 350 degrees F until done. Add 3-5 minutes to bake time for dark or coated pans. Cake is done if toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Do not test for doneness by touching with finger. Cook cake in pan, on wire rack for 15 minutes. Cool completely before frosting. Two 8 Inch x 1-1/2 Inch Round Layers: 26-31 minutes. Two 9 Inch x 1-1/2 Inch Round Layers: 22-27 minutes. One 13 x 9 Inch x 2 Inch Oblong Pan: 26-31 minutes. One 10 Inch Fluted Pan: 33-36 minuets. Approx. 24 Cupcakes (Fill 1/2 Full): 18-21 minutes.
