  • Praline Pound Cake
    Prep time: 30 minutes / Bake time: 90 minutes

    1-½ cups chopped pecans, divided
    1-½ cups butter, softened
    1 package cream cheese (8 oz), softened
    3 cups packed brown sugar
    6 large eggs, room temperature
    3-¼ cups H-E-B The Bakers Scoop Cake Flour
    1 tsp vanilla extract

    Preheat oven to 325°F. Grease a 10" tube pan and dust lightly with flour. Sprinkle ½ cup chopped pecans in pan. Cream together butter and cream cheese. Add brown sugar and cream mixture until light and fluffy (about 5 minutes). Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Fold in flour, just until combined. Do not overmix. Gently stir in vanilla and remaining 1 cup chopped pecans. Spoon batter into prepared pan and place on baking sheet in oven. Bake for 1-½ hours or until wooden toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool in pan for 10 minutes. Remove from pan and move to rack to cool completely.
