Hardwood mesquite-smoked for 7 hours, a small batch of H-E-B Bacon is set aside every year, cut extra thick and mildly seasoned with hatch chile peppers, garlic, onion and red pepper. It's great way to add extra depth and spice to your breakfast or BLT sandwiches. Available for a limited time, Hatch chiles are grown in the Hatch Valley region of New Mexico and known for their distinctive smoky flavor.

    Keep Refrigerated or Frozen. Thaw in refrigerator or microwave. Keep raw meat and poultry separate from other foods. Wash working surfaces (including cutting boards), utensils, and hands after touching raw meat or poultry. Cook thoroughly. Keep hot foods hot. Refrigerate leftovers immediately or discard.
  • Fry: Cook in a skillet over medium heat until browned & crisp, turning to brown evenly.

    Bake: Arrange bacon in a single layer in shallow baking dish. Bake 375°F for 20 - 25 minutes or until browned and crisp.

    Microwave: Arrange slices in a single layer between paper towels in a microwave-safe dish. Microwave on high (100% power) for 55 - 60 seconds per slice. If cooking more than 4 slices, turn dish and rearrange slices half way through cooking.
