Highlights

Description

Gruyere AOP Cheese's history dates back to the year 1115, when monks in the Gruyere region of Switzerland began to cultivate the surrounding Alps. Gruyere is a Swiss staple and beloved cheese around the world. Switzerland is so proud of this cheese that its production is strictly regulated- any product bearing the name Gruyere AOP can be trusted as an authentic Swiss product made the traditional way with raw cow's milk. As part of the Swiss family of cheeses, it's a fantastic melter- simply superb in any dish that requires melted cheese, such as gratins, casseroles, grilled cheese sandwiches, burgers, pasta, and egg dishes. A subline melter- a classic ingredient in Swiss cheese fondue.
