Highlights
Description
Pomegranates are roughly the size of an apple and have thin, yet tough, reddish-brown skin. On the inside, there are hundreds of seeds that contain a sweet-tart juice, which are the only edible part of this fruit. To remove the seeds, break apart a pomegranate into 4 - 5 pieces and submerge them into a large bowl of water. The seeds will sink and the inedible white membrane will float to the top, which is easily skimmed away. Enjoy the crunchy, juicy seeds as a snack, or use them to make drinks, sauces or desserts.
