Description
A tropical fruit that's originally from Southeast Asia, mangosteen is delightfully sweet, tangy and juicy. Smooth and dark purple on the outside, it has a bright white flesh on the inside that's the only edible part. To remove the purple skin, score the fruit all the way around without cutting too deep. Gently twist off the top and bottom, discard the purple parts and enjoy raw.
