A popular fruit snack in Africa, Australia, New Zealand and now here at home, Kiwano is also known as the horned melon or hedged gourd. When ripe, it’s orange and spiky and has a banana-like taste. Just slice it in half and scoop out the green seeded fruit. Although the seeds are edible, you may prefer to enjoy only the flesh.
