Grand Estates Batonnage Chardonnay. The Grand Estates wines are created with an artisan winemaking approach. The wine and the yeast lees inside each barrel of our Chardonnay is hand stirred once a week during several months of the aging process. This labor intensive winemaking process of inserting a baton and stirring every barrel is known as batonnage. This creates a unique richness and creaminess that has become the signature of this Chardonnay and a benchmark for Washington quality. Hand stirring each barrel during aging creates a distinctive rich and creamy Chardonnay. Alc. 13.5% by vol.
