Description
Lively ruby red, plums, carobs and cherries on the nose. In the mouth it is warm, rightly so tannic, intense, with a finish of red fruit jam. Pairs with cured meats, first courses with tomato sauces, meats.
The vines probably arrived in our peninsula from the other side of the Adriatic at the hands of the Illyrians. The first reliable historical documents on the vine date back to the second half of the 1700s, when a man of the church, Don Francesco Filippo Indellicati, noticed that among the many vines in his vineyards, there was one that reached maturity earlier and produced a grape particularly black, sweet and tasty. Indellicati selected and created the first "Primitivo" vineyard.
