What started out as leftovers ended in a conversation on how founders George and Rubie Huerta could put a Texas twist on a popular Cajun favorite. Taking their family's charro bean recipe, specially prepared proteins and that Texas jalapeño heat, they developed a pretty remarkable product. After selling the products in H-E-B, George was able to retire from being full-time HVAC technician for over 20 years. Caution: Product will be hot! Discard or refrigerate any unused portions.
Due to variations in equipment, heating time and/or temperature may require adjustment to reach 165°F.
Do not cook in a oven, toaster oven or broiler.- Keep frozen.
Microwave Instructions: 1. Remove tray from cardboard box and cut a slit in the film cover.
2. Place tray in microwave and heat on high for 4 minutes.
3. Peel back plastic film and stir. Heat an additional 1 minute or until product reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
4. Cool for 1 minute. Carefully remove plastic film before serving as the product will be extremely hot.
