About Afia
Founded in 2016, Afia began as a little black book, filled with traditional Mediterranean recipes that made its way across continents and through trials and transformations. Farrah Moussallati Sibai decided to launch Afia when her in-laws moved in with her after a tumultuous civil war broke out in Syria. Her mother-in-law, Fadia, felt like cooking for the family was a way to feel at home, and her homecooked Syrian food inspired Farrah to build this family-run business that employees Syrian refugees in Austin, Texas. H-E-B is proud to offer this line of authentic Mediterranean food at select stores.
