Ingredients

Recipe makes 4 Servings

6 roma tomato, cut into quarters
6 Oz tomato paste
1/3 cup(s) Cabernet Sauvignon
2 Tsp extra virgin olive oil
2 peeled garlic cloves, crushed
2 Tbsp basil, chopped
1 Tsp oregano, chopped
1 cup(s) reduced-sodium chicken broth
1 Tsp salt

Instructions

Puree tomatoes, tomato paste and wine in a food processor or blender until smooth.

Heat olive oil in a 2 quart sauce pan over medium heat.

Sauté garlic, basil and oregano for 1 minute.

Add pureed tomato mixture, chicken broth and salt to sauce pan.

Bring to a boil then reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 to 20 minutes.
