  • Ingredients

    Active Ingredient: Bismuth Subsalicylate. Inactive Ingredients: Calcium Hydroxide, Citric Acid, Ethyl Alcohol, Flavors, Glycerin, Gum Arabic, Potassium Carbonate, Rhubarb Fluidextract, Sugar, Water.

    Allergens and safety warnings

    Note: Do not use if the imprinted band on the neck of the bottle is torn, broken, or not in place. Alcohol 5 percent. Children and teenagers that have or are recovering from Chicken Pox, flu systems, or flu should not use this product. If nausea, vomiting or fever occur, consult a doctor because these symptoms could be an early sign of Reye Syndrome, a rare but serious illness. Do not use if you have: bloody or black stool. Ask a doctor if you have: fever, mucus in the stool. Allergy Alert: Contains Salicylates. Do not take if you are allergic to salicylates, taking other salicylate products. Do not use if you have an ulcer, bleeding problem. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before you use if you are taking any drug for anticoagulation (thinning the blood), diabetes, gout, arthritis. Stop use and ask a doctor if: symptoms get worse, ringing in the ears or loss of hearing, diarrhea lasts more than 2 days. If pregnant or breast feeding ask a professional before use. Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away. When using this product a temporary, but harmless, darkening of the stool and/or tongue may occur.
  • Shake well before using. For children 12 years of age and over: 1050 milligrams (2 teaspoons) every hour as needed. Adults: Do not exceed 4200 milligrams or 4 doses in 24 hours. Use until diarrhea stops but not more than 2 days. Children under 12: Ask a doctor.
