What is Cooking Connection?

Something’s always cooking at the Cooking Connection! We are a family-friendly demonstration kitchen located in many H-E-B stores, designed to provide easy meal solutions with simple recipes and products that will change the way you feel about cooking.

We are open 7 days a week and actively prepare a variety of recipes each day. We want you to stop by and enjoy our samples. If you like what you taste, you will want to pick up our recipe cards and any products specified in the recipe; these are all available right here in our kitchen.

Who are those people behind the counter?

Our cooking coaches come from many different backgrounds and walks of life. Many of our partners have attended culinary schools; some have trained as chefs and worked in restaurants. Others simply love to cook and have an interest in food and people. The one thing they all have in common is their passion for food and for you, our customers.

We like to say we have the best jobs in our company and we truly believe it! What could be better than doing what we love to do and making people happy in the process?

Our coaches are also an excellent resource for answering food questions and providing simple information on how to prepare different types of meats and seafood, since we love food and love to cook! In fact, our cooking and people skills continue to grow as we open more locations, develop new recipes and have access to new and distinctive lines of food, wine and gadgets.

What can I learn here?

We are here to help YOU. When you visit the Cooking Connection, you will enjoy sampling great foods and wines to pair with them. We believe you will be inspired to prepare these same delicious meals and recipes at home. You may even begin to create your own family-favorites variations of our recipes developed especially for you.

You will learn that getting dinner on the table is not as hard as you might think and can be extremely rewarding once we take the stress out of it for you! We promise to continue to amaze you with new ideas, recipes and unique products not found anywhere else.
