Walnut Pancakes With Cranberry Syrup

1 cup(s) original syrup
1/2 cup(s) dried cranberries
2 cup(s) Aunt Jemima Buttermilk Complete Pancake & Waffle Mix
1/2 cup(s) walnut halves and pieces, chopped and toasted
1/2 Tsp ground cinnamon
1 1/2 cup(s) water

For cranberry syrup, combine dried cranberries and 1 cup hot water in a small microwave safe bowl.
Cover with plastic wrap and heat on high for 2 minutes and re-hydrate for 20 minutes.
Drain the cranberries and combine with the syrup in the same small bowl, cover and microwave on high for 1 minute. Keep syrup warm.
For the walnut pancakes: combine the pancake mix, walnuts, cinnamon and water in a medium bowl.
Stir the mixture with a wire whip to make a smooth batter (large lumps disappear).
Proceed according to package directions for cooking the pancakes.
