Recipe makes 12 Servings

16 Oz angel food cake mix
1 1/3 cup(s) espresso, brewed strong
3/4 cup(s) heavy cream
1 1/4 cup(s) semi sweet chocolate chips
8 Oz whipping cream
3 Tbsp powdered sugar

Prepare cake mix according to package directions with the exception of using coffee in place of water.
Cool cake as directed.
Remove cake from pan and place on cake platter.
In a medium size sauce pan, heat heavy cream until it comes to a simmer.
Place chocolate chips in a metal bowl, then pour the hot cream over it.
Let it sit for about 5 minutes, then whisk as it will form a ganache.
Allow the ganache to cool before using it.
Spread chocolate ganache over cake starting at the top.
Place cake back in freezer to set for 10 minutes.
Cut cake into 12 slices with an electric knife.
Top each slice with whipped cream if desired.
