Ingredients

Recipe makes 4 Servings

1/2 cup(s) white sugar
1/2 cup(s) water
1 Tbsp soy sauce
1 Tbsp fish sauce
1/4 cup(s) Sambal Oelek Chili Paste

Instructions

In a non-stick sauté pan or small pot add sugar, water, soy sauce and fish sauce.

Cook until sugar is dissolved and sauce starts to reduce and thicken slightly. Add chili paste and continue to cook until sauce is thick enough to coat back of a spoon.

Pour sauce into a serving container and allow to cool so it can thicken slightly.

Chef's Note: This is great as a dipping sauce but I also use it to coat my fried chicken.
