Strawberry Chocolate Angel Food Trifle

Ingredients

Recipe makes 12 Servings

1 Lb strawberries
1 Tbsp granulated sugar
1 Dolci Frutta Hard Chocolate Shell
1 H‑E‑B Angel Food Cake, cut or torn into bite size pieces
1 H-E-B Dessert Whipped Topping, aerosol can

Instructions

Wash and pat dry strawberries. Hull and slice thinly then place in a medium bowl and sprinkle with sugar. Toss gently to combine and set aside.

Microwave chocolate according to package directions until melted.

In a large bowl or the top portion of the angel food cake container, place a layer of strawberries followed by a layer of angel food cake pieces. Use a spoon to drizzle chocolate over cake.

Starting from center of bowl, spray dairy whip in a circle to cover cake layer.

Repeat layers until all cake and strawberries are gone. Cover and chill 1 hour before serving.
