Spicy Garlic Confit on Grilled Bread

1 cup(s) Texana Brand Spicy Sriracha Infused Olive Oil, plus more as needed to cover garlic
1 cup(s) fresh peeled garlic cloves
1 loaf of Rosemary Sourdough Golden Grain Bread, sliced

Instructions

In a small stainless steel sauce pan, add olive oil and garlic.

Set heat to low and allow it to cook for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until garlic is slightly browned and very soft. Oil should never heat past a slight simmer. Remove from heat and allow to cool.

Preheat oven to 400°F. Brush slices of bread with warm garlic olive oil and bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until just toasted.

Allow bread to cool slightly and spread a little garlic confit on each slice, season to taste with salt and pepper.

Chef's Note: Store any unused garlic in a plastic container and refrigerate. Allow garlic to come to room temperature before using. The fat in olive oil will solidify during refrigeration.
