1 Tbsp Hill Country Fare Shortening
2 Tbsp Hill Country Fare All Purpose Flour
1 onion, chopped
1 green pepper, minced
1/2 cup(s) celery, minced
2 Roma tomatoes, chopped
14 1/2 Oz H-E-B Okra, drained
2 Lb peeled and deveined raw shrimp
6 garlic cloves, minced
3 Tbsp parsley, chopped
2 Tsp Chef Geoffrey Michael's Gabrielle Seasoning
1/8 Tsp kosher salt
1/8 Tsp Hill Country Fare Black Pepper

In a large pot, make a roux by heating shortening and adding flour; stir constantly until dark brown.
Mix in onions, green pepper and celery and sauté until vegetables are soft; add remaining ingredients.
Cover and simmer for 45 minutes.
Serve over hot rice.
