2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 Lb H-E-B Mild Breakfast Sausage
1/4 Tsp sea salt
1/2 Tsp black pepper
1 garlic, minced
1 cup(s) shallots, sliced
1 cup(s) celery, chopped
1 cup(s) mushrooms, chopped
1 cup(s) red bell pepper, chopped
1 cup(s) Texas on the Plate Soppin' Sauce
1 cup(s) heavy cream
1 cup(s) chicken broth

Instructions

Place a medium stock pot over medium-high heat and add olive oil.

Season sausage with salt and pepper and add to hot pot, breaking up sausage as it cooks.

Add garlic and continue to cook until sausage is brown, stirring frequently.

Once browned, drain and transfer to a bowl.

In the same pan, sauté shallots, celery, mushrooms and bell pepper until just tender.

Return sausage to the pot and stir to combine.

Stir in Soppin' Sauce, heavy cream and chicken broth.

Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer 15 minutes.
