Recipe makes 13 Servings

1 Lb H-E-B Thick Cut Bacon, or any center cut bacon, plus more as needed

Instructions

Preheat oven to 400ºF.

Place at least 2 pieces of parchment paper on a sheet pan. Lay bacon slices on top so they touch but don't overlap.

When bacon strips are all laid out, place two more pieces of parchment paper on top of bacon.

Lay another sheet pan (face up) on top of parchment so pans fit together and compress bacon slices.

Place in oven and bake 25 to 40 minutes depending on desired crispness of bacon.

Cool before removing bacon to drain onto paper towels.

Chef's Note: The top sheet pan helps compress the bacon to keep it straight while cooking. To check doneness during cooking, simply lift top pan with tongs.
