Recipe makes 4 Servings

3/4 Lb 96% lean ground beef
1 Tsp black pepper, divided
1 Tsp canola oil
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 Tsp dried thyme
4 portobello mushrooms, gills removed
4 H-E-B 100% Whole Wheat Deli Flats
1 garlic, peeled
4 jalapeño jack cheese slices
1 large tomato, sliced

Position rack in upper third of oven; preheat broiler. Line a broiler pan with foil and set aside.
Gently form beef into 4 patties, season with ½ teaspoon pepper.
Mix oil, Worcestershire, thyme, and remaining pepper in a small bowl. Drizzle over mushrooms.
Place patties and mushroom caps on prepared pan. Broil until cooked through, 3 - 4 minutes per side.
Meanwhile, toast bread. Rub each slice of toast with the garlic clove.
Place one mushroom cap on each patty and top with a slice of cheese. Remove foil from sheet pan and place on pan. Broil until cheese is just melted, 30 - 60 seconds. Transfer to toasted buns and add toppings as desired.
