1/4 cup(s) dry red wine
1 H-E-B Cinnamon Sticks
1/8 Tsp H-E-B Ground Nutmeg
1/8 Tsp H-E-B Iodized Salt
2 Tsp H-E-B Pure Cane Sugar
2 lemon, sliced thinly
4 Bartlett pears, halved lengthwise, peeled, cored

Instructions

In a saucepan, combine water, wine, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, sugar and lemon.

Heat over medium low heat until mixture begins to boil.

Add pears and cook, covered, over low heat for 15 to 30 minutes, or until pears are tender.

Cool & refrigerate for at least 2 hours to chill thoroughly
