Orecchiette with Goat Cheese and Sausage

Recipe makes 6 Servings

16 Oz orecchiette pasta
2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil, plus more as needed for pasta
6 garlic cloves, lightly crushed
1 Lb spicy Italian sausage, crumbled or removed from casings
16 Oz H-E-B Charred Tomato Pasta Sauce, plus 1/2 cup water added to jar and shaken to remove all sauce
4 Oz H-E-B Fresh Goat Cheese
1 cup(s) fresh basil, torn and tightly packed

Fill a large pot with water and bring to a boil, cook pasta according to package instructions, drain and set aside. Drizzle pasta with oil to keep from sticking.
Rinse pot pasta was cooked in and place over medium-high heat.
Add oil allow it to get hot then add garlic cloves and sausage, stir-fry until sausage is just starting to slightly brown and remove garlic when it starts to brown.
Add pasta sauce and bring everything to a simmer.
Once simmering, stir in goat cheese until melted then add cooked pasta and fresh basil. Turn off heat and toss pasta and sausage to coat.
Garnish with fresh herbs and Parmesan cheese, if desired.
