Ingredients

Recipe makes 12 Servings

1 Lb penne pasta
1 cup(s) bacon, diced small
1/2 cup(s) white onion, chopped
1 Tbsp garlic, minced
3 cup(s) whole milk
4 cup(s) Monterey Jack cheese, shredded, divided
1 1/2 cup(s) Hill Country Fare Unsalted Crackers, crushed into pieces

Instructions

Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

Place bacon, onions and garlic in a large pot and sauté until bacon is slightly crispy.

Add milk and 3 cups of cheese, reduce heat to low and stir intermittently to keep the bottom from burning.

Once cheese is melted and sauce is creamy and thick, remove from heat and stir in cooked pasta. Season to taste with salt and pepper then pour into a 9 x 13 inch baking pan.

Top with crushed crackers and remaining cheese, and bake 8 - 10 minutes or until everything is bubbly and cheese is melted.
