Recipe makes 4 Servings

1 Lb ground beef
1/8 Tsp black pepper
1 medium apple
1 Granny Smith apple
4 mild cheddar cheese, slices
8 Jewish Rye Bread, slices
1/4 cup(s) natural sliced almonds, toasted
1/2 cup(s) hot mustard
1 Tbsp horseradish
4 Boston lettuce, leaves

Instructions

Shape ground beef into 4 patties. Season with pepper.

Core apples and slice into 1/4 inch thick rings.

Grill burgers over medium coals for 12 to 14 minutes then turn after 7 minutes and top with cheese.

Grill apple slices during last 8 minutes.

Toast bread on perimeter of grill.

Remove burgers.

While cheese is hot, sprinkle each burger with 1 tablespoon almonds.

Mix mustard and horseradish and spread 2 teaspoons on each of 4 bread slices.

Top with grilled burgers, apple rings, lettuce leaves and remaining bread slices.
