Season the chicken with the fajita seasoning mix and place in a large zipper bag. Marinate in refrigerator for 2 hours or overnight.
To prepare basting sauce, combine olive oil, onion, garlic, lemon juice, and Worcestershire sauce in a microwave-safe bowl.
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and heat on high power for 3 minutes.
Carefully remove from microwave and reserve ½ cup of the sauce for serving with the cooked chicken. Keep remaining basting sauce warm.
Prepare charcoal or gas grill on one side (300°F) for indirect grilling.
Place a sheet of heavy-duty foil on the cool side of the grill to collect fat drippings and to prevent burning.
Place the seasoned chicken quarters, rib side down, on cool side of grill rack and cook for 1½ hours, basting every 15 minutes.
Make sure you add 4 to 6 charcoal briquettes to charcoal grill every 30 minutes.
Turn chicken quarters over and grill for 15 minutes or until chicken is cooked through (170°F) or juices run clear. Discard basting sauce.
Serve chicken with reserved sauce.
